ASDP Boss Reveals Absorption of the Stimulus Budget for Discounting Nataru Boat Tickets is Still Minimal

JAKARTA - President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Heru Widodo revealed that the absorption of economic stimulus in the transportation sector through ship tariff discounts is still very minimal until December.

For information, the government allocated a budget of IDR 31.65 billion in the form of a 19 percent discount on sea vessel tariffs to ASDP in organizing the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) transportation.

"The absorption is still below 1 percent. So this is what we will continue to increase marketing efforts for passengers to buy tickets early," he said in a press conference on Natari's readiness, at the ASDP office, Jakarta, Monday, December 15.

Based on ASD data, currently there are less than 10,000 beneficiaries of the 19 percent discount stimulus for tickets, from the target of 257,600 passengers and 491,776 vehicles.

Even so, Heru is optimistic that the increase will occur as the holiday season approaches.

"We predict that it will continue to increase closer to H," he said.

Heru said ASDP prepared 222 ships nationwide. It consists of 135 commercial ships and 87 pioneer ships, to serve 318 crossing routes, including 91 commercial routes and 227 pioneer routes.
