Jasa Marga Predicts a 1 Percent Increase in Vehicles during the Nataru Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) predicts a 1 percent increase in vehicles crossing the Jasa Marga toll road during the long holiday period of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru 2025/2026).

Director of Jasa Marga Rivan Achmad Purwantono said that until now the number of vehicles crossing the JSMR toll road has reached an average of 3.3 million to 3.5 million vehicles.

"We know that today's trend every day is, right, around 3.3 (million) to 3.4 (million vehicles). Then up to 3.5 million vehicles on toll roads. This is actually the figure we see a 0.9 percent growth in daily traffic," said Rivan when met by reporters after the Jasa Marga Integrated Apel Siaga Operational Christmas Holiday 2025 and New Year 2026 at TMII, Jakarta, Monday, December 15.

"This shows the potential for an increase in the time of Nataru's arrival. Well, this can be calculated by yourself," he continued.

With an increase of around 1 percent, it is projected that the number of vehicles crossing the JSMR toll road could reach 3.53 million units or an increase of around 35,000 vehicles.

Rivan did not provide specific figures for vehicle projections. According to him, his party only followed the policies or survey results that had been carried out by the government, in this case the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

"Well, as we have said, this must also refer to the policies or survey results conducted by the Ministry of Transportation. We are only describing what is happening on the toll road and anticipating it," he said.

Meanwhile, in the Integrated Apel of Jasa Marga, said Rivan, his party has prepared around 500 technical vehicles that are ready to carry out operational standby during the Nataru holiday. Among them, rescue cars, ambulances, cranes, travoy rest to mobile pumps.

"And we ensure that more than 6,500 employees, village officers will be ready with the support of all. More than 100,000 of the National Police will be present and more than 2,000 Jasa Marga personnel as well as the readiness of 2,750 hospitals," he added.
