PMN Rp2.5 Trillion Approved, Pelni Will Replace 3 Old Ships

JAKARTA - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) or Pelni received state capital participation (PMN) of IDR 2.5 trillion.

The funds will be used to build three new ships instead of an old fleet.

"Yesterday, it was only Monday that it was decided to disburse PMN for 2025. For the procurement of three Pelni passenger ships. That just replaced it, it hasn't added," said Pelni President Director Tri Andayani in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 10.

He said, the three new ships will have a capacity of 1,000 passengers, replacing one ship with a capacity of 2,000 passengers, and two ships with a capacity of 1,000 passengers.

Furthermore, you as he is familiarly called, he said that currently Pelni has 26 ships. Where 14 of the ships are over 30 years old, so a new ship is needed as a substitute.

As of 2025, there are already 14 ships that are over the technical age of 30 years. Replacement, has not added. So indeed, our task is tough," you said.

You say that with the replacement of the new fleet, it is hoped that it can provide better services, especially in terms of passenger comfort. This includes accommodating the transportation needs of people in the Eastern region.

"So that our friends in Central and Eastern Indonesia also enjoy a comfortable and safe mode of transportation," he said.

Kata Anda, secara keseluruhan Pelni berencana mengganti sembilan kapalnya.

Setelah PMN untuk penggantian tiga kapal disetujui, perusahaan menargetkan penggantian enam kapal lagi.

Aksi tersebut akan masuk dalam Rencana Jangka Panjang Perusahaan (RJPP) periode 2025 hingga 2030.

Lebih lanjut, Anda bilang, pendanaan akan diajukan pada 2029, setelah kajian selesai pada 2028. Targetnya, pembangunan enam kapal bisa dimulai pada 2030.

“Kajian ini juga harus kami lakukan mulai dari sekarang, insyaallah kami ajukan mulai 2029,” tutur Anda.

Kata Anda, secara keseluruhan Pelni berencana mengganti sembilan kapalnya.
