Coordinating Minister Zulhas To Minister Of Trade Budi: Keep Food Prices Ahead Of Nataru

Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan emphasized the importance of maintaining the availability and stability of food prices entering the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru) periods.

The man who is familiarly called Zulhas also asked the Minister of Trade Budi Santoso and related agencies to ensure that the supply of basic necessities remains safe, considering that the community's needs will increase until the momentum of Eid next year.

"Today, our decision is ahead of Nataru, we ask the Minister of Trade and related institutions to continue to maintain the availability of sufficient basic necessities, stable prices. Because Nataru has Christmas, New Year and not long for Eid," he said at the SPHP Corn and Fertilizer Coordination Meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 2.

In addition to Nataru and Lebaran 2026, Zulhas said the government had anticipated a surge in the need for Free Nutrition Food (MBG) in line with the increasing beneficiaries of the program.

"Later next year we need large food too, MBG in the March (2026) target, which means 82.9 million March, it means a lot of eggs, a lot of shrimp needs, a lot of chicken, a lot of fish needs, all eggs need, a lot of fruit," he said.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Menteri Perdagangan Budi Santoso mengatakan kondisi harga bahan kebutuhan pokok di pasaran saat ini masih normal.

Tak hanya harga yang stabil, Budi juga bilang kondisi yang terkendali menjelang periode Nataru.

“Normal, stabil semua, pasokan terkendali,” tuturnya.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Trade Budi Santoso said that the price condition of basic necessities in the market is still normal.

Not only is the price stable, Budi also said that conditions were under control ahead of the Nataru period.

"Normal, stable, all supply under control," he said.
