Prevent Internal Competition With Citilink, Garuda Indonesia Reset Routes

JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia will rearrange its flight route portfolio to preventTICization with its subsidiary, Citilink Indonesia. This step is part of the four pillars of transformation that Garuda Indonesia Group is currently carrying out to strengthen competitiveness.

Deputy President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Thomas Sugiarto Oentoro, said that the route arrangement was carried out after the company re-evaluated the Garuda and Citilink service portfolios.

"This business transformation is to look back at the portfolios from Garuda Indonesia and also Citilink, and re-examine and reorganize our routes, which Garuda and Citilink provide services and we do so that Garuda and Citilink do not discriminate with each other," he said in a virtual RDP with Commission VI of the DPR, Monday, December 1.

With the rearrangement of this route, continued Thomas, it is hoped that Garuda Indonesia Group can provide more comprehensive services to all customers.

Not only business transformation, said Thomas, Garuda Indonesia Group will also focus on transformation of services, operational transformation and digital transformation.

For service transformation, Thomas said this was done to ensure the experience of flying from customers can be consistently carried out and accepted.

"Raising the service standard from end to end is a commitment of our directors which we will do gradually, but this is an area that is our quick win," he said.

The third pillar, continued Thomas, operational transformation emphasizes efficiency both in terms of costs and business processes. Even so, he ensured, that efficiency would not reduce the quality and aspects of safety.

Meanwhile, for digital transformation, said Thomas, Garuda encourages the use of data-based technology, automation and decision-making to accelerate and improve operational accuracy.

This includes not only technology, but it includes how we provide technology capabilities, automation, and a new data drive decision that can increase the accuracy, speed, and accuracy of our execution. So this is what we will do in our transformation program at Garuda," he said.
