Collaborating With Indosat Business, PLN Utilizes AI For SPKLU Digitization

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison through Indosat Business utilize data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) to accelerate the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) ecosystem in Indonesia.

President Director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo emphasized that this MoU is a formal basis for both companies to enter the implementation phase and combine the expertise of the energy and telecommunications sector in strengthening the foundations of the national electric vehicle ecosystem.

"The cooperation between PLN and Indosat will strengthen our steps in providing SPKLU services that are increasingly relied on by users," said Darmawan, Thursday, November 27.

PLN's Director of Retail and Commerce, Adi Priyanto, added that this collaboration will strengthen the acceleration of the KBLBB ecosystem through the development of SPKLU which is more equitable, efficient, and responsive to EV user growth.

"This collaboration strengthens PLN's commitment to accelerate the national EV ecosystem through SPKLU infrastructure that is more equitable, efficient, and customer-needed. With the support of digital technology from Indosat Business, we can improve service quality and ensure our readiness to serve the growth of electric vehicle users in Indonesia," Adi explained.

It is known, the scope of this collaboration includes strengthening the KBLBB ecosystem, digitizing electricity sales and customer services, as well as utilizing data on analytics, AI, and IoT for planning, monitoring, and optimizing SPKLU operations. This effort will provide a more modern, efficient, and user experience-oriented charging service.

Meanwhile, Director & Chief Business Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Muhammad Buldansyah explained that this collaboration is a form of Indosat's commitment as a digital _orchestrator_ in the energy sector.

"This MoU confirms the role of Indosat Business as a digital orchestrator in the Indonesian energy sector. With reliable data, AI, IoT, and connectivity strengths, we help PLN accelerate digital transformation through SPKLU services that are smarter, safer, and oriented towards user experience," said Buldansyah.
