Head Of Authority Targets Phase 2 IKN Development Worth IDR 3.1 Trillion Completed By The End Of 2025

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) targets that the IDR 3.1 trillion project in IKN will be completed by the end of 2025.

Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono explained that the project is part of a development contract that is included in the construction of IKN phase 2, including the construction of a legislative and judicial area in IKN.

"The IKN (stage 2) batch 1 construction is now only a single year will be completed this December. Now the progress is 76.1 percent and will be completed this December," Basuki said in a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission II of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 25.

Based on the presentation material displayed, the IKN Phase 2 Batch 1 construction worth IDR 3.1 trillion includes 16 work packages, consisting of 9 physical packages and 7 unphysical packages.

In detail, there are 7 construction packages that support the improvement of the Central Government Core area (KIPP) Sub-WP 1B, 1C, along 12.2 kilometers (km). Then, OIKN is also completing the arrangement of the Sepaku Market area.

The last contract includes a sports area structuring project and green open space. In addition, there are 7 unphysical packages that include office building management activities, housing, road infrastructure, MUT, sanitation drinking water to the region.

The second phase of the construction will be divided into 3 development batches. batch 1 is targeted for completion this year. Batch 2 will be contracted through a multi-year contract (MYC) scheme for the period 2025-2027.

Meanwhile, the development of IKN Phase 2 batch 3 will be contracted using the MYC scheme from 2026 to 2028. Basuki explained that the project to be worked on in this batch is still in the tender preparation stage.

Furthermore, Basuki is optimistic that the IKN project will continue and be on target. This belief is strengthened by the issuance of Presidential Decree 79/2025 concerning the Updating of the 2025 Government Work Plan and budget allocations from the central government.

"Perpres 79/2025 adds to our confidence that IKN will definitely continue. In addition, President Prabowo Subianto has approved the IKN development budget for the 2025-2029 period of IDR 48.8 trillion," he said.
