BPJS Employment Socializes Protection For 1,300 Athletes At The Jakarta Open International Inline Skate 2025

JAKARTA - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan was present at the Jakarta Open International Inline Skate 2025 Championship which was held by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Youth and Sports Office on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Jakarta International Roller Track Arena (JIRTA) Sunter, North Jakarta.

The event, which was opened directly by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, managed to bring together 1,300 participants from within and outside the country. Interestingly, as many as 902 participants or around 70% of the total athletes competing have been registered and protected by the BPJS Employment program.

Head of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Jakarta Kelapa Gading Office, Ivan Sahat H. Pandjaitan, welcomed the high participation rate of inline skate athletes present.

"We are proud to see that 902 of the 1,300 participants in the Jakarta Open International Inline Skate 2025 already have BPJS Employment protection. This shows the awareness of athletes and the sports community regarding the importance of social security, especially in high-risk sports such as inline skates," said Ivan.

He added that the presence of BPJS Employment in this event was not only for socialization, but also a tangible manifestation of the state's commitment to protecting all workers, including athletes and sports players.

"Sports are activities that are full of injury risk, especially the athletes. By being registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, athletes get job accident guarantees, death insurance, and old age insurance. We want athletes to focus on pursuing achievements without worrying if something goes wrong," said Ivan.

Furthermore, Ivan invites all athletes, coaches, and officials who have not been protected by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to register immediately.

"We are opening the door wide, the process is easy and fast. Let's complete our sports achievements with adequate social protection," Ivan said.
