JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI provides a 30 percent discount for commercial economy class train trips during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holidays. The discount is part of the government's economic stimulus policy.
KAI's VP of Public Relations, Anne Purba said that as an implementation of government assignments, KAI provides a quota of 1,509,080 customers.
Based on observations on Sunday, November 23 for the period 18 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, 533,411 passengers have been sold, or about 19 percent of the total 2,767,688 seats provided.
"The discount quota is still available. We urge the public to immediately order early so that they can get the best price and according to the desired travel plan," Anne said in an official statement, Sunday, November 23.

Anne said tickets at discount rates can be purchased through all sales channels from November 21, 2025 to January 10, 2026, for the travel period from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026.
