A Year Of Prabowo's Government, Investment Commitment At IKN Reaches IDR 225.02 Trillion

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) revealed that it has pocketed an investment commitment of IDR 225.02 trillion during the one year leadership of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

OIKN Head Basuki Hadimuljono explained that the investment commitment came from a pure investment scheme and Government and Business Entity Cooperation (PPP).

In detail, investment of IDR 66.3 trillion is a capital disbursement from the private sector purely and IDR 158.72 trillion through the KPBU scheme to support road construction and multi-utility tunnels as well as for residential development in the IKN area.

"This investor's trust is a sign that national economic stability continues to grow while strengthening the foundation of the development of the capital city of Nusantara," Basuki said in a written statement, quoted on Friday, October 31.

Basuki emphasized that the IKN development had entered a stage that could no longer be delayed. President Prabowo's enthusiasm, commitment and direction serve as a guide for all ranks of the IKN Authority in carrying out the mandate of development.

Moreover, the clarity of IKN development is stated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 12 of 2025 concerning the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2025-2029.

"The president affirms his commitment to continue and accelerate the development of IKN as a symbol of progress and equitable development in Indonesia," he said.

In addition, the Head of State has also determined the development of the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago as the capital city of Indonesian Politics which is targeted to start operating in 2028. The decision is stipulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 79 of 2025 concerning the Update of the Government Work Plan for 2025 which has been promulgated.

"The regulation, which is set for June 30, 2025, targets the archipelago as the capital city of Indonesian Politics in 2028, with the support of the transfer of ASN and the provision of adequate infrastructure," he said.

In order to realize this, Prabowo also detailed a number of development plans in the future. First, the government will prioritize development in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN with a total area of 800 to 850 hectares.

Second, the government has announced that the construction of buildings or offices in the capital city of Nusantara is only 20 percent of the total available land. Third, the percentage of housing/household development is feasible, affordable and sustainable in the capital city of Nusantara reaches 50 percent of the available land.

Fourth, the coverage of the availability of basic infrastructure facilities in the Nusantara Capital area reaches 50 percent. Fifth, the accessibility index and connectivity of the Indonesian capital city are set at 0.74.
