JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry noted that the industrial confidence index (IKI) in October 2025 reached 53.50.

This figure is up 0.48 points from IKI in September 2025 which was recorded at 53.02.

"The value of IKI in October 2025 is 53.50.53.50, which means above 50. If it is above 50, we call the value of IKI 53.5 an expansionary industry," said Ministry of Industry Spokesperson Febri Hendri Antoni Arif in the October 2025 release at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta, Thursday, October 30.

In addition, when compared to IKI in October last year at 52.75, the amount of IKI in October 2025 also increased by 0.75 points, namely at 53.50.

Febri added, this October there were 22 sub-sectors experiencing expansion. The contribution of 22 sub-sectors to gross domestic product (GDP) was 98.8 percent.

In other words, IKI sub-sectors with expansive status are the largest contributors to their GDP.

"The two sub-sectors with the highest value of IKI in October are the KBLI 12 tobacco processing industry and the paper and goods industry from KBLI 17 paper," he said.

However, Febri said, there was one sub-sector that recorded a decline in performance, namely the textile industry.

"So, there is one industrial sub-sector that contracted in October, namely the textile industry," said Febri.

He revealed, based on the IKI-forming variables, there are three things, namely new order variables, production variables, and product inventory variables.

"If we look at the variable component forming IKI, the value of the new order variable increased by 1.46 points to 55.25. So, this is a significant increase. Industrial demand in October has almost increased in all industries," explained Febri.

For IKI exports and domestics, it still shows an expansionary trend in October 2025.

IKI exports in October 2025 were recorded at the level of 54.35, an increase of 0.36 points from September 2025 which reached the level of 53.99.

Meanwhile, domestic IKI is also still in an expansionary phase at the level of 52.34.

This figure has increased by 0.42 points compared to September 2025 which is at the level of 51.92.
