Menpan RB Will Meet Minister Of Finance Purbaya To Discuss Civil Servant Salaries Next Year

JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Rini Widyantini said he would soon meet with Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadives to discuss the policy of paying Civil Servants (PNS) in 2026.

Furthermore, Rini ensured that the meeting between herself and Purbaya would be held in the near future.

"I have planned to meet him," he said when met at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 28.

Rini said the discussion was important after the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 79 of 2025 concerning the Update of the Government Work Plan (RKP) in 2025.

Currently, the increase in civil servant salaries is stated in Presidential Decree Number 79 of 2025. The regulation was signed by President Prabowo Subianto for an increase in ASN salaries on June 30, 2025.

"We see that there are already Presidential Decree 79, later I have to talk first with the Minister of Finance, who holds the budget, right? So it must be discussed first," he said.

Regarding the possibility of increasing civil servants' salaries next year, Rini did not close the opportunity. However, he emphasized that the final decision remains in the hands of the Ministry of Finance.

"Yes, if everyone goes home, it will be there. It's just that we have to talk about it first," he said.

Previously, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive spoke about the possible increase in the salary of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in 2026.

Dia menyatakan, potensi kenaikan gaji ASN selalu ada setiap tahunnya. Namun, belum dapat memastikan seberapa besar peluang kenaikan itu dapat direalisasikan.

"Kalau kemungkinan (kenaikan gaji ASN) kan selalu ada, cuman peluangnya berapa kita enggak tahu," ujarnya kepada awak media, Selasa, 22 Oktober.

Meski demikian, ia juga mengatakan hingga saat ini belum menerima informasi rinci terkait wacana tersebut.

He stated that the potential for an increase in ASN salaries is always there every year. However, it is not certain how much the opportunity for an increase can be realized.

"If it is possible (an increase in ASN salaries) there is always an opportunity, we don't know," he told the media crew, Tuesday, October 22.

However, he also said that until now he had not received detailed information regarding the discourse.
