Menkop Ferry: 2,400 Red And White Kopdes Building Outlets To Warehouse

JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono revealed that the government continues to develop the Red and White Villages Cooperative. In fact, he said that 2,400 cooperatives were being built to complete operations, ranging from outlets to warehouses.

"Sekarang sedang dibangun sudah terkonfirmasi 2.400-an dari data tanah yang sudah ada 5.000. Tapi kan kita harus verifikasi factual, lokasi harus memenuhi syarat, dia harus ada minimum kepuasan tanahnya, terus kemudian strategis, dan sebagainya," kata Ferry ditemui di kantor Kemenko Pangan, Jakarta, Senin, 27 Oktober.

Ferry said the meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Food office today also discussed the Red and White Kopdes. Especially regarding the land inventory that will be built by the Kopdes.

"So this discusses the process of accelerating the inventory of land that will soon be built, warehouses, outlets, and other supporting facilities," he said.

However, continued Ferry, his party also opened up the possibility of using local government assets (Pemda) to build red and white Kopdes.

"We continue to inventory the land, and then verify the location of the ground points. But we also continue to open up the possibility, for example, there are provincial, district/city assets where the remaining vacant land can also be built," he explained.

In the meeting, continued Ferry, it was also discussed about schemes to facilitate village cooperatives that had carried out their activities.

"We will encourage it, we will develop it to be able to have a more complete proposal. Yesterday because there was one activity, only basic necessities. We will encourage it, we will assist the Ministry of Cooperatives," he explained.

Currently, continued Ferry, there is also an assistant business that is responsible for the sustainability of village cooperatives. He said, one assistant business person will oversee 10 cooperative units.

One business assistant 10 village cooperatives. That is what we will assist to assist village cooperatives, make business proposals according to ideals for us to be able to carry out basic food outlets, pharmacies, clinics, warehouses, and so on," said Ferry.
