JAKARTA - A total of nine trade cooperation agreements between Indonesia and China were signed at the Indonesia China Business Forum 2025 which was held on the sidelines of the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) which took place in Tangerang on October 16, 2025.

The business forum entitled "Indonesia-China Strategic Trade and Investment Opportunities" was attended by 360 entrepreneurs from China and reached an agreement in the green energy sector, processing waste into energy (waste-to-energy), a motor vehicle mobility ecosystem (automobile mobility cooperative), a system for providing smart aquatic feed (smart aquaculture feed system), and purchasing coffee from Indonesia.

"The bilateral relationship between Indonesia and China has reached the highest level of comprehensive strategic partnerships. This closeness is not only felt at the government level, but also brings great benefits to the people of the two countries," said the Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia Djauhari Oratmangun quoting Antara.

The business forum also discusses various strategic steps for strengthening foreign trade cooperation and investmentraising, strengthening trade partnerships, encouraging investment flows, and opening up new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

"This business forum is a forum to explore the potential and opportunities for trade and investment as well as create new business networks that will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries," said Indonesian Consul General (Konjen) in Guangzhou Ben Perkasa Drajat at the same event.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Consul General in Shanghai Berlianto Situngkir in the event said the 75-year momentum of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China became a strong foundation for deepening collaboration in the fields of trade, investment, green economy, tourism and digital transformation.

"This forum is proof of the strong commitment of the two countries to strengthen economic synergy, explore the potential to expand collaboration in the manufacturing industry sector, green technology, and added-valued products. Hopefully, this collaboration will support sustainable national export growth," said Berlianto.

There are also discussions that present resource persons from the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, Bank Mandiri Shanghai, and the Indonesian Industrial Estate Association (HKI), which discuss strengthening the global supply chain, manufacturing cooperation, renewable energy and industrial estate development.
