Eid Homecoming Ban: 74.878 Passengers Boarding Planes At Airports Belonging To Angkasa Pura I, Most Of Them Are At Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) recorded passenger traffic during the period of eliminating Eid homecoming from May 6 to 17, 2021 amounting to 74.878 passenger movements or equivalent to the average daily passenger traffic in 2021 (period 1 January to 5 May 2021) which amounted to 74.589 passengers.

"Angkasa Pura I ensures that operational activities in its 15 airports during the past homecoming phase have complied with transportation procedures during the period of eliminating homecoming as stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 13/2021 concerning Transportation Control during the Idulftri 1442 Hijri Period to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19, where only exempted flights can be done", said Vice President Corporate Secretary of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Handy Heryudhitiawan in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 19.

Handy said, aircraft traffic during the Eid homecoming elimination period was 2.556 aircraft movements and cargo traffic amounting to 8.634.702 kg. The highest passenger traffic during the elimination of the homecoming was at Juanda Airport in Surabaya with traffic of 17.149 passenger movements.

The second highest passenger traffic is at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport with traffic of 12.901 passenger movements and the third-highest passenger traffic is at Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar Airport with traffic of 12.315 passenger movements.

After the elimination of the Eid homecoming period, Handy continued, starting Tuesday, 18 May 20201 yesterday, 11 Angkasa Pura I airports have also re-adjusted their operational time, which during the previous homecoming period was reduced so that the operational time was longer.

This operational time adjustment returns flight traffic to the way it was before the elimination of the homecoming period. On Tuesday 18 May, passenger traffic at 15 Angkasa Pura I airports reached 107.104 passenger movements, up from 8.782 passengers on Monday 17 May 2021.

The passenger traffic figure on May 18, which amounted to 107.104 passengers, was above the average daily passenger traffic in 2021 (January 1 - May 5), which amounted to 74.589 passenger movements.

"After the elimination of Eid homecoming, passenger traffic returns to the same as before the homecoming phase. Angkasa Pura I always optimizes and ensures the implementation of strict health protocols at each service point at the airport and carries out strict checks on the flight requirements documents owned by passengers. I also readjusted the airport operating time, which during the previous homecoming elimination period, the airport operational time was reduced. Both of these were carried out in coordination and involving the airport community such as airlines, Airport Authorities, Port Health Offices, and others", Handy said.

As for the operational time of 15 Angkasa Pura I airports after the elimination of homecoming, namely:

1. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport continues to operate for 13 hours from 07.00 a.m. - 20.00 p.m. local time.

2. Juanda Airport in Surabaya operates again for 14 hours (06.00 a.m. - 20.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 12 hours during the elimination of homecoming from 06.00 a.m. - 18.00 p.m.

3. Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar Airport operates again 17 hours (04.00 a.m. - 21.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 12 hours during the elimination of the homecoming period from 06.00 a.m. - 18.00 p.m.

4. SAMS Sepinggan Balikpapan Airport operates again 12 hours (06.00 a.m. - 18.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 10 hours (08.00 a.m. - 18.00 p.m.).

5. Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport operates again 9 hours (07.00 a.m. - 16.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 4 hours (07.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m. local time) during the elimination of the Eid homecoming period.

6. Yogyakarta - Kulon Progo International Airport operates 12 hours (07.00 a.m. - 19.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 4 hours (07.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.) during the elimination of the Eid homecoming period.

7. Adi Soemarmo Solo Airport operates again 9 hours (08.00 a.m. - 17.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 8 hours (09.00 a.m. - 17.00 p.m.) during the elimination of the Eid homecoming period.

8. General Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang operates again 11 hours (07.00 a.m. - 18.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 6 hours (09.00 a.m. - 15.00 p.m.) during the elimination of the Eid homecoming period.

9. Lombok Praya Airport continues to operate for 10 hours from 07.00 a.m. - 17.00 p.m. local time.

10. El Tari Kupang Airport operates again for 10 hours (06.00 a.m. - 16.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 6 hours during the elimination of the homecoming period (06.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.).

11. Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin operates 10.5 hours (07.30 a.m. - 18.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 8 hours (08.00 a.m. - 16.00 p.m.).

12. Manado's Sam Ratulangi Airport continues to operate for 11 hours from 07.00 a.m. - 18.00 p.m. local time.

13. Pattimura Ambon Airport operates again for 10 hours (07.00 a.m. - 17.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 5 hours during the elimination of the Eid homecoming period (07.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.).

14. Frans Kaisiepo Biak Airport operates 12 hours (06.00 a.m. - 18.00 p.m. local time) from the previous 10 hours (07.00 a.m. - 17.00 p.m.).

15. Jayapura Sentani Airport continues to operate 11.5 hours from 06.00 a.m. - 17.30 p.m. local time.
