Bulog Has Salurkan Nearly 500,000 Tons Of SPHP Rice

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog noted that the realization of the rice distribution program for the stabilization of food supply and prices (SPHP) has reached nearly 500,000 tons per day. Distribution is carried out through traditional markets, Rumah Pangan Kita, modern retailers, to village-level market operations.

President Director of Perum Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said the SPHP program run by Perum Bulog based on assignments from the Government through the National Food Agency (Bapanas) continues to show positive results.

Until October 13, 2025, the realization of the distribution of SPHP rice has reached more than 492,500 tons, or almost half a million tons to all corners of Indonesia. This achievement is clear evidence that SPHP rice is still in demand and widely absorbed by the community in the midst of the dynamics of national food prices," he said in an official statement, Monday, October 13.

Rizal said that the SPHP is not just a program for distributing cheap rice, but a tangible form of the state's presence in protecting the public from food price fluctuations.

"Through various programs such as SPHP, Bulog is committed to providing quality, affordable, and even food for all Indonesian people," he said.

Meanwhile, Director of Operations and Public Services of Perum Bulog Mokhamad Suyamto said the average distribution of SPHP reached 40,000 to 50,000 tons per month.

The distribution, he continued, was carried out through various channels. In detail, the largest portion of distribution in traditional markets is 60 percent, modern retailers are 20 percent, as well as direct intervention programs and special distribution of 20 percent.

"This step is part of Bulog's strategy to present SPHP rice at more selling points so that it is easily accessible to all levels of society, including in urban areas," he said.

He also ensured that the quality of the SPHP rice distributed was always in good condition. The storage process is carried out with a stock rotation and reprocessing system to maintain quality.

"Every SPHP rice that reaches the community has gone through regular quality checks. We also continue to improve the logistics system so that the supply chain is more efficient," he explained.
