PLN Gives Free Electricity To 93 Families In Indramayu Fisherman Village

PT PLN (Persero) provides free electricity connections for 93 Heads of Families (KK) in Sejahtera Fishermen's Village, Eretan Kulon Village, Indramayu, West Java, who now occupies new housing in the relocation area after being affected by tidal flooding.

PLN President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo said that this program is part of PLN's efforts to support sustainable development, accelerate the social recovery of disaster-affected communities.

The presence of electricity in Sejahtera Fishermen's Village is expected to bring comfort to residents in starting a new life. This access will support daily activities, children's education, to drive social and economic activities in a new environment," said Darmawan, Saturday, October 11.

The installation and connection of free electricity to Sejahtera Fishermen's Village is part of PLN's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program through its subsidiary PLN Electricity Services (PLN ES). Not only for residents' houses but also for seven public facilities in the relocation area.

President Director of PLN ES, Susiana Mutia added that her party hopes that with collaboration with the government and across sectors, this TJSL program can provide real benefits for the community.

We are very grateful to be collaborating with various parties in this TJSL program. A total of 93 houses and 7 public facilities now have access to safe electricity. This is a tangible manifestation of PLN Group's contribution, especially PLN ES, in helping to recover and rebuild the lives of residents affected by abrasion, while improving the quality of life of the community," said Susiana.
