Encourage Investment And Compliance With Taxes, DGT And BKPM To Establish Strategic Cooperation

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) and the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS).

Meanwhile, this signing was carried out by the Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Bimo Wijayanto, together with the Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/President Secretary of BKPM, Heldy Satrya Putera.

Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto said that PKS is part of the development of the DGT beliax which integrates data from Government Agencies, Institutions, Associations, and Other Parties (ILAP) with BKPM data.

According to him, through this integration, a number of services that were previously semi-manual have now transformed into web service-based, including Confirmation of Taxpayer Status (KSWP), Fiscal Certificate (SKF), as well as applications and reporting of fiscal facilities such as tax holidays, tax allowances, investment allowances, and Vocational Basic Tariff Scheme (STD).

Bimo also emphasized that this collaboration is a strategic step and is not just an administrative agreement but a synergy to strengthen the investment and state revenue ecosystem.

"With measured tax incentives, investment will increase, jobs will be created, and ultimately national economic growth will be encouraged," he said in his statement, Thursday, October 2.

He conveyed that the implementation of PKS had previously shown tangible results where DGT recorded an increase in data on import duties for imports of machinery, goods, and materials from 103 data in the first semester of 2024, up to 151 in the second semester of 2024.

Bimo said that this figure again increased 42 percent to 146 data in the first semester of 2025, and increased by 40 data in the period July August 2025 where this positive trend reflected concrete benefits of data integration.

In addition, he expressed his appreciation to all parties who contribute and are optimistic that this PKS will strengthen the investment climate while ensuring tax compliance, thus contributing significantly to national economic growth.

Sekretaris Kementerian Investasi dan Hilirisasi/BKPM, Heldy Satrya Putera, menyampaikan dukungan penuh atas kerja sama ini dan pihaknya menargetkan realisasi investasi sebesar Rp13.032,8 triliun dalam periode 2025–2029.

"Pertukaran informasi melalui PKS ini diharapkan memperkuat sinergi kedua instansi, sekaligus mendukung kelancaran investasi dan kepatuhan perpajakan,” jelasnya.

Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, Heldy Satrya Putera, expressed his full support for this cooperation and his party is targeting investment realization of IDR 13,032.8 trillion in the 2025 '2029 period.

"The exchange of information through PKS is expected to strengthen the synergy between the two agencies, as well as support the smooth investment and tax compliance," he explained.
