Astra Infra Projects Traffic On The Toll Road To Grow 2.3 Percent Throughout 2025

JAKARTA - Astra Infra, which is covered by PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) predicts that vehicle traffic growth in all managed toll roads will reach 2.3 percent by the end of 2025.

The length of the Astra Infra managed toll road reaches 396 kilometers (km). This toll road is located in Trans Java and Metro.

The details, in Trans Java covering the Tangerang 'Merak (72.5 kilometers), Cikopo' Palimanan or Cipali (116.8 kilometers) and Semarang'Solo (72.6 kilometers) toll roads.

Then, there are the Jombang 'Mojokerto Toll Road (40.5 kilometers), Surabaya 'Mojokerto (36.3 kilometers) and Pandaan'Malang (38.5 kilometers).

Meanwhile, toll roads in the metro or Jabodetabek area themselves include the Kunciran Section "Serpong or JORR 2 (11.1 kilometers) and Ulujami" Kebon Jeruk or JORR 1 (7.7 kilometers).

"Although it may not be as high as the previous year, this year we expect it to grow by 2.3 percent," said Astra Infra Chief Financial Officer Halim Wahjana at the Astra Media Day 2025 event in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 23.

Based on the data presented, Astra Infra projects that 536,800 vehicles will pass through the Astra Infra managed toll road until the end of this year.

This figure is higher than the previous year which only reached 524,800 vehicles.

"The average daily traffic is predicted to grow 2.3 percent compared to 2024. One of the factors is the full connectivity of the JORR 2 toll road since July 2024," he explained.

In the future, Astra Infra will continue to pay attention to two main aspects, namely quality and capacity. For the capacity aspect, Astra Infra strives to widen the lane on each managed toll road.

"The widening we have done is in Tangerang Merak, we have expanded 18 kilometers in the last two years. From two lanes to three lanes. Then in Cipali itself, we have expanded 23 kilometers," explained Halim.

Meanwhile, for quality aspects, Halim continued, his party is trying to make every road user who crosses the Astra Infra toll road feel safe and comfortable.

Pertama, kata dia, pihaknya senantiasa memperhatikan maintenance, baik dari sisi prediktif maupun pemeliharaan rutin.

"Selain itu juga mungkin karena faktor iklim, ya, faktor panas bagaimana kami memelihara aspal. Mungkin sekarang curah hujan cukup tinggi, bagaimana kami memelihara drainase supaya kalau lewat jalan dalam kecepatan tinggi itu biasanya menjadi kendala itu aquaplaning karena ada genangan. Nah, itu pun tentu kami perhatikan karena menyangkut keamanan pengguna jalan kami," pungkasnya.

"In addition, it is also possible because of climate factors, yes, the hot factor is how we maintain asphalt. Maybe now the rainfall is quite high, how do we maintain drainage so that if you pass the road at high speed it is usually an obstacle, it is aquaplaning because there are puddles. Well, of course we pay attention to that because it involves the safety of our road users," he concluded.
