Garuda Indonesia Again Recognized By The World After Restructuring

JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia Commercial Director, Reza Aulia Hakim, said the hard work of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (GIAA) and its subsidiaries in restoring post-restructuring performance began to show tangible results.

Reza said, throughout 2025, Garuda Indonesia Group managed to win at least 23 prestigious awards from various institutions, both nationally and internationally.

According to him, this achievement is proof that the reputation and quality of the service of the state-owned airline has again received recognition, not only from within the country, but also in the eyes of the world.

Reza also expressed that the awards were not just symbolic, but were a form of concrete appreciation for the dedication of the entire team in rebuilding public trust.

"These various awards are a tangible manifestation of public trust and stakeholders in all of our efforts to return Garuda as the nation's proud airline," Reza told reporters, Monday, September 22.

Reza explained that the various awards cover various aspects of service from loyalty, operational programs, to aircraft maintenance programs.

"One of the most prominent achievements is the success of Garuda Indonesia in being included in the list of the Top 10 Best Frequent Flyer Programs 2025 according to the Readers' Choice Awards," he said.

According to Reza, this confession confirms the company's commitment to providing added value for loyal customers through the GarudaMiles program.

Not only Garuda as the parent company, Reza said that the subsidiary, Citilink Indonesia, also shined. He said, Citilink Indonesia, which focuses on low-cost flight services, was named the Best Low Cost Airline in Indonesia by the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2025.

Meanwhile, in the aircraft maintenance sector, GMF AeroAsia managed to penetrate the ranks of the Top Six Finalists MRO Engine of the Year Award which was announced at the 2025 MRO Asia Pacific event, an important recognition in the world of aircraft maintenance industry.

In addition, continued Reza, Garuda Indonesia also managed to extend operational safety certification from IATA by achieving the IOSA Renewal Certification 2025'2027.

"This proves our consistency in maintaining the highest standard of flights," he said.

Reza also expressed his appreciation to Commission VI of the DPR RI, which is considered to have an important role in supporting the restructuring process since 2022. He called this achievement a strong indication that Garuda Indonesia had returned to its path.

"We are increasingly confident to continue to fly higher and compete in the global market," he concluded.
