PUPR Accelerates Construction Of Serang-Panimbang Toll Road

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) together with toll road business entity (BUJT) Wika Serang Panimbang continues to accelerate the construction of Serang-Panimbang Toll Road in Banten.

Head of BPJT Ministry of PUPR Danang Parikesit said that currently the progress of the construction of Serang-Panimbang Section 1 Toll Road has reached 95.24 percent. Targeted in June conducted laik test function so that it can be inaugurated and then can be operated.

"This section will also open greater economic and development opportunities for the southern banten region. Serang-Panimbang Toll Road along 83.67 km consists of three sections. Section 1 along 26.5 Km connects Serang- Rangkasbitung, Section 2 along 24.17 Km connecting Rangkasbitung-Cileles and Section 3 along 33 Km connect cileles-panimbang.

Currently for sections 2 and 3 are still in the land acquisition stage. Land acquisition progress for sections 2 is 74.03 percent and section 3 is 64.21 percent where sections 2 and 3 are targeted to be completed and operational by July 2023.

Serang-Panimbang Toll Road is a unique toll road because it is connected to tangerang-merak toll road which is part of Trans Java for logistics distribution route and also this toll road connects with Tanjung Lesung which is a special economic area for tourism.

Previously Astra Infra revealed that Serang-Panimbang Toll Road (Serpan) will be operated in an integrated manner with Tangerang-Merak Toll Road.

CEO of Toll Road Business Group Astra Infra Kris Ade Sudiyono said that it will operate Serang-Panimbang Toll Road in an integrated manner with Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, integrated in a closed manner so that users can enter and exit from any direction.

He added that the concept will be integrated with the system of interest that may be closed based on kilometers as applicable in Tangerang-Merak Toll Road and Serang-Panimbang Toll Road.
