Cipularang Toll Road Is Crowded, 184 Thousand Vehicles Leave Jabotabek During The Long Holiday

JAKARTA - The traffic flow on the Cipularang Toll Road towards Bandung is still closely monitored, but smoothly on the second day of the long holiday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which coincided with the weekend, Saturday, September 6. Thousands of people took advantage of the long holiday moment to travel to Bandung and the southern part of West Java.

Jasa Marga noted that as many as 184,824 vehicles had left the Jabotabek area since 4-5 September 2025 at 06.00 WIB through four main toll gates, namely Cikatama, Kalitama, Cikupa, and Ciawi.

The most vehicle distributions are towards the east, namely Cikatama (Cirebon) and Kalitama (Bandung) as many as 92,515 vehicles or 50.1%. Meanwhile, 26.2% of vehicles headed west (Merak) and 23.8% to the south (Puncak).

Even though the volume of vehicles is high, the traffic conditions on the Cipularang Toll Road are still under control. The convoy of private cars dominates the freeway that passes smoothly.

It is estimated that the spike in traffic flow will continue for the next two days, considering that the long holiday period will only end on Sunday 7 September.
