Bahlil Wants To Call Shell And BP AKR Impact Empty Fuel Stock

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) plans to summon a private fuel oil provider (BBM) business entity, Shell and BP-AKR due to the recent fuel stock vacuum.

Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Yuliot Tanjung said, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia had ordered the Director General of Oil and Gas Bumi Laode Sulaiman to summon all business entities providing fuel including Pertamina.

According to him, this summons aims to synchronize import data between Pertamina and business entities such as Shell and BP AKR.

"And there has also been a directive to the Director General of Oil and Gas to be collected immediately. This will be immediately meeting between Pertamina and business entities that require imports. So there are already directives to be coordinated by the Director General of Oil and Gas," Yuliot told awk media, Wednesday, September 3.

When asked about increasing the import quota, Yuliot did not agree with this. However, he ensured that synchronization of data was needed between Pertamina and private gas stations in order to prevent the balance of commodity balance.

"Tadi pagi Pak Menteri, baru memimpin pertemuan dan mengarahkan kita untuk melaksanakan yang namanya proses sinkronisasi, kenapa? Karena kan SPBU swasta sudah diberikan tambahan alokasi sebesar 10 persen terhadap alokasi tahun 2024. Jadi 110 persen lah begitu," beber dia.

Laode mengatakan, rapat tersebut rencananya baru akan diadakan pada pekan depan.

"Tadi selesai rapat, mungkin awal minggu depan kita panggil," tandas dia.

Met at the same place, Director General of Oil and Gas Laode Sulaeman said, this summons aims to synchronize the supply of privately owned fuel with supplies from Pertamina.

"This morning, the Minister, just chaired the meeting and directed us to carry out the synchronization process, why? Because private gas stations have been given an additional 10 percent allocation for the 2024 allocation. So 110 percent is like that," he explained.

Laode said the meeting was planned to be held next week.

"Earlier, the meeting was completed, maybe early next week we will call," he said.
