Minister Of Industry Agus Proposes Additional Budget Of IDR 1.46 Trillion In 2026, What To Use?

JAKARTA - Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita proposed an additional budget for 2026 of IDR 1.46 trillion. Meanwhile, the budget effective ceiling received by the Ministry of Industry is IDR 2.50 trillion.

"In order to support the growth of the national industry, we convey the proposal for an additional budget of Rp1.46 trillion," Agus said at a Working Meeting with Commission VII at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 3.

Agus said the additional budget would be used to support the growth of the national industry.

"This addition is intended to finance 222 strategic activities which are considered to have a direct impact on the acceleration of industrial sector development," he said.

The additional budget, said Agus, will be used to support Indonesia's existence as a country partner at the 2026 INNOPROM international industry exhibition in Russia amounting to IDR 202.5 billion.

Then, for the procurement of laboratory equipment supporting the stipulation of mandatory SNI amounting to Rp185 billion. Then, the procurement of vocational educational facilities and infrastructure amounted to Rp120.09 billion.

Next, to support the downstream program of natural resources and the development of priority industries amounting to Rp113.7 billion. Then, for the development program of small and medium industries through certification, technology adoption, partnerships, financing and market access activities amounting to Rp107 billion.

Furthermore, additional budgets will also be used for machine and equipment restructuring programs amounting to Rp. 101.85 billion and industrial vocational higher and middle education programs of Rp. 76.25 billion.

Finally, said Agus, the proposed additional budget will also be used for vocational training for the priority industry sector of IDR 53.90 billion.

"With this addition, the total budget allocation ceiling for 2026 is expected to increase to Rp3.97 trillion," he said.
