PLN Launches Latest Version Of Home Charging Services

PT PLN (Persero) officially launched the Ultima Home Charging Services (HCS) as the latest version of the home electric vehicle charging service (EV). Present with a shorter and more practical installation process, HCS Ultima is an important breakthrough in improving electric vehicle charging services in Indonesia.

PLN's Executive Vice President of Retail Customer Sales and Services, Daniel Lestanto explained, different from the previous version, HCS Ultima was designed shorter and more practical.

"This service is integrated into the PLN system, starting from submissions, installations, to full-sale services, it can be done end-to-end and real-time through the PLN Mobile application, where in the previous service the applicant could not see the progress of each stage in real-time," he said, Saturday, August 30.

In terms of speed of connection, the HCS Ultima service was accelerated to only 7 working days for the low voltage air line standard connection.

Daniel explained that HCS Ultima was first launched in Surabaya, East Java on Wednesday, August 27 at the same time as the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) event.

East Java was chosen as the launch site because this area is the area with the largest growth in electric vehicles outside Jabodetabek. Furthermore, he emphasized that PLN is committed to providing services that suit customer expectations.

"As an HCS service provider, we hear what customers want. For that we launched the HCS Ultima service. It doesn't stop there, we also offer a special offer in the form of a 50 percent discount on installation to accommodate the enthusiasm of the community," he said.

Daniel added that this promo will take effect from 27 August 2025 to 30 June 2026 as a form of appreciation to customers for welcoming the momentum of National Customer Day.

Meanwhile, the Director of Planning and Development of PLN Icon Plus, Aditya Syarief Darmatiawan added that the presence of the HCS Ultima service is expected to be the main choice for customers in charging their electric vehicles.

With HCS Ultima, users simply charge 1 to 2 times a week at home, especially for daily needs in the city.

"For customers who want to apply for an HCS Ultima installation, it is enough through the PLN Mobile application on the EV menu. After the submission, customers can monitor real-time until the HCS Ultima installation is complete," concluded Syarief.
