Said Abdullah Hopes That The 2026 Financial Note Speech Will Focus On Human Resources

JAKARTA - Chairman of the House of Representatives Banggar Said Abdullah assessed that President Prabowo Subianto's Finance Note speech this year will be in the spotlight, especially because the transition period for the new government runs for about 10 months.

"If you look at who is working, because this is indeed a transition that has only been running for almost 10 months. That there are signs of significant improvement, we must admit," said Said, Friday, August 15.

He explained that national economic growth showed a positive trend where in the first quarter of 2025, the economy grew by 4.87 percent, and increased to 5.12 percent in the second quarter of 2025.

Said hopes that entering the second year of Prabowo Subianto's administration can bring real changes, especially in improving the quality of human resources (HR).

"Because we are honestly stuck in the HR chapter, so whatever we are trying to do by denial, the keyword is how to increase our human resources to become superior human resources," he said.

Said added that in the speech of the Financial Note later, it is better to focus on fundamental human development agendas, as stated in the long-term development vision (Asta Cita), namely Education for all, Improved quality of inclusive health services, and Provision of free nutritious food (MBG) for students.

He explained that these programs were carried out simultaneously and massively, so he could hope that Indonesia's Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) would improve.

"This simultaneous implementation is carried out simultaneously, so we have hope that our ICOR will be far from Vietnam. If Vietnam can be at least 4.6 today, we are at 6.1, 6.2, so with the acceleration of government programs it can be achieved," he said.
