PT Nusantara Regas (NR) affirms its commitment and support for the construction of the LNG Hub in Bandung with PGN and PT Gagas Energi Indonesia (PGN Gagas) through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) which coincides with the LNG HUB groundbreaking agenda in Kebonwaru, Bandung, West Java.

President Director of PGN, Arief S. Handoko said, the presence of this infrastructure is expected to be a strategic step to expand the distribution and availability of LNG for the hotel, restaurant and cafe (Horeka) sectors that have not been reached by the gas pipeline network.

"Hopefully it can increase Gagas' optimism to work on the Bandung natural gas market and other areas in southern West Java," said Arief, Wednesday, August 13.

He added that Bandung is the right area for beyond pipeline' gas services such as retail LNG, as an efficient and competitive alternative option to other fuels.

This efficiency allows the savings of operational costs for business actors of around 10'25 percent while at the same time supporting reducing the energy subsidy burden because LNG and CNG are sourced from within the country.

As part of strategic support, NR will take a crucial role in the development of LNG breaking business in terms of providing infrastructure and LNG mode transportation services (using LNG isotank), based on retail markets and LNG assets developed by PGN Gagas.

"We see great potential in accelerating the distribution of clean energy to the Tenrakia sector. This collaboration not only opens access to quality energy, but also in line with our mission to expand the use of LNG inclusively and efficiently towards a sustainable energy transition," said the President Director of PT Nusantara Regas, Mohd. In line with this support, PGN Gagas, who is the operational manager of LNG HUB, also emphasized his commitment to optimizing the benefits of this infrastructure for the community and business actors. This was stated by the President Director of PGN Gagas, Santiaji Gunawan.

He also emphasized that this facility has a capacity of up to 15,000 MMBTU per month (around 0.5 BBTUD), to serve customer needs in the horeka sector and other industries.
