JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI confirmed that in the incident of the decline in the series of trains 1 (Argo Bromo Anggrek) that occurred at the Pegadenbaru Station, there were no casualties among passengers or officers.

KAI VP Public Relations Anne Purba said after the incident, all passengers were successfully evacuated by officers on duty in the field.

Furthermore, Anne said, her party ensured that the safety of passengers was our top priority, and immediately took action to avoid further potential hazards.

"We also convey that there were no casualties in this incident, KAI will make efforts to engineer operating patterns to ensure that other train trips remain served," he said in an official statement, Friday, August 1.

The initial chronology, continued Anne, KAI received a report at 15:47 WIB. Then, his party coordinated with the relevant officers at 15:48 WIB. The team immediately took corrective steps to ensure the smooth running of other train trips.

"This incident caused temporary disruption to the upstream and downstream routes, but we ensure that repair efforts are immediately carried out with an estimated repair time of around 8 to 10 hours," he said.

Currently, continued Anne, her party is conducting an investigation to find out the exact cause of this incident. KAI, said Anne, will provide further updates as soon as it gets more information.

Anne said that for train travel, KAI will continue to provide customers with the latest updates. For this incident, KAI apologized.
