Preventing RSM Mining Cases Repeated, Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Wants To Gather Entrepreneurs

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) will gather all mining business actors to conduct socialization related to the implementation of the Budget Activity Plan (RKAB) from 3 years to every year.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Dwi Anggia said this socialization was also aimed at tightening supervision to prevent cases of alleged corruption in the production and exploration of mining belonging to PT Ratu Samban Mining (RSM).

"Towards October, we will do, immediately gather business actors and associations to socialize the imposition of new rules related to changes to RKAB from 3 years to 1 year to avoid things like this happening. And also to tighten supervision and others. Don't be surprised, everyone," he told the media crew at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Friday, August 1.

Previously, the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) named the former Director of Engineering and Environment at the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi (SSH) as a new suspect in the alleged corruption case of mining production and exploration belonging to PT Ratu Samban Mining (RSM). Sunindyo currently serves as Head of the Communications, Public Information Services, and Cooperation (KLIK) Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

When the corruption case occurred, Sunindyo served as Head of the Mining Inspector at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the April 2022 period, July 2024.

With his position, Sunindyo has the authority to evaluate the submission of approval for the 2023 Fiscal Budget Activity Plan (RKAB) submitted by PT RSM for Mining Business Permit (IUP) Number 348 as a condition for production operations.

Hasil evaluasi tersebut, menjadi komponen untuk mendapatkan persetujuan RKAB Tahun 2023.

Akan tetapi, dari hasil penyidikan, didapatkan fakta telah ada persetujuan RKAB Tahun 2023 oleh Kementerian ESDM melalui Ditjen Minerba.

Namun, dokumen rencana reklamasi di dalamnya belum mendapatkan persetujuan.

Kendati demikian, PT RSM telah melaksanakan operasi produksi tahun 2022–2023 tanpa ada jaminan reklamasi yang ditempatkan pada bank sampai saat ini.

Atas perbuatannya, SSH dijerat dengan Undang-Undang Tindak Pidana Korupsi. Untuk selanjutnya, akan ditahan sementara di Rutan Salemba Cabang Kejagung.

Nevertheless, PT RSM has carried out a production operation in 2022 '2023 without any reclamation guarantees placed in banks to date.

For his actions, SSH was charged with the Corruption Crime Act. Furthermore, he will be temporarily detained at the Salemba Rutan, the AGO Branch.
