Vale Records 18.557 Ton Nickel Matte Production Throughout Quarter II-2025

JAKARTA - PT Vale Innesia Tbk (INCO) recorded an increase in nickel waste production in the second quarter of 2025.

Vale has recorded 18,557 tonnes of nickel supply compared to the first quarter which was recorded at 17,027.

Thus, the total nickel production between Vale in the first semester reached 35,558 tons compared to the same period the previous year (yoy) which was recorded at 34,774.

INCO Vice President Director and Chief Operation and Infrastructure Officer Abu Ashar said nickel production in the first half of 2025 was recorded at 2 percent higher than the same period in 2024. With this achievement, he said he was optimistic about Vale's nickel production prospects throughout 2025.

"The company targets a total production of around 71,234 metric tons of nickelcurrency for 2025," he said, Thursday, July 31.

Furthermore, Abu also revealed that nickel shipments in the second quarter also increased to 18,023 tons compared to the first quarter of 17,096.

Meanwhile, the average price of nickelcurrency in the second quarter of 2025 reached 12,091 US dollars per ton, slightly increasing compared to 11,932 US dollars per ton in the previous quarter.

Menurutnya, kenaikan harga yang moderat, dikombinasikan dengan volume pengiriman yang lebih tinggi, berkontribusi pada peningkatan total pendapatan, yakni mencapai 220,2 juta dolar AS pada kuartal II-2025.

Angka ini meningkat 7 persen dari kuartal sebelumnya, yakni 206,5 juta dolar AS.

"Di sisi lain, selain penerapan royalti baru, keputusan kami untuk mempercepat jadwal pemeliharaan terencana (sekitar 20 hari) mulai paruh kedua tahun 2025 juga berdampak pada operasi triwulan kedua kami," tandas Abu Ashar.

According to him, the moderate price increase, combined with higher shipping volume, contributed to an increase in total revenue, reaching 220.2 million US dollars in the second quarter of 2025.

This figure increased 7 percent from the previous quarter, which was 206.5 million US dollars.

"On the other hand, in addition to implementing new royalties, our decision to accelerate the planned maintenance schedule (about 20 days) starting in the second half of 2025 also has an impact on our second quarter of operations," said Abu Ashar.
