WHP-M also integrates innovation and sustainability principles with the use of PV diesel as a supporting energy source, as well as the application of Digital Microwave Radio and Integrated Control & Safety Systems for remote monitoring and control, in order to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

Deputy for Exploitation of SKK Migas, Taufan Marhaendrajana, who witnessed the inaugural production of the WPH-M Terubuk Project from the Medco E&P office expressed his appreciation.

According to him, the success of the WHP-M Terubuk Project shows that the upstream oil and gas industry is able to present world-class projects quickly, safely, and efficiently produced by 100 percent of Indonesian human resources.

"This is the real result of a strategic collaboration between the government and the business world," said Taufan.

He hopes that Medco E&P's success in developing marginal offshore fields can become a role model for other KKKS through a planned, collaborative, and technology-based approach.
