SIG Helps Women's Schools Successfully Develop Tiram Cultivation In Padang

JAKARTA - The high consumption ofement mushrooms in Padang City, West Sumatra, is a promising and successful business prospect used by the Women's School with the Productive Economic Business (UEP) of the Nagari Baringin Forum by starting a harvest cultivation business in Baringin Village, Lubuk Kilangan District, Padang City.

With assistance and assistance from PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) through its subsidiary, PT Semen Padang, this business continues to grow and is capable of producing 3-7 kilograms (kg) of tiramic mushrooms per day.

Tire mushrooms are starting in September 2024 with assistance from PT Semen Padang ranging from seeds, planting media, ovens, cultivation huts and other supporting equipment. Tin Suarni proudly said that starting from 1,000 planting media, now her cucumber fungi cultivation has grown to 3,000 planting media and can harvest 3 kg to 5 kg saturated mushrooms per day, even reaching the highest harvest of 7 kg per day.

In addition to harvesting raw mushrooms for processed raw materials, this business group also serves orders in the form of finished food, such as chips and umbar mushrooms rendang. In the future, Tin Suarni hopes that Baringin can become a center for cucumber mushrooms cultivation in Padang. In addition to suitable weather conditions, cucumber fungi cultivation also has good economic potential, especially now that the selling price reaches Rp. 25,000 per kg.
