Starting To Be Distributed, Rice Food Assistance Targets 18.27 Families

Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi said rice food assistance would be distributed to a total of 18.27 million families throughout Indonesia in 2025.

"For this reason, this year, we use the PBP database from the National Sole Social Economic Data (DTSEN) as stated in Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2025. We focus on deciles 1 to 7," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 15.

He hopes that the rice food assistance program can reduce rice prices as well as support the economy of people who really need the government's attention.

"We continue to strive to get aid recipients on target," said Arief.

Arief said that the rice food aid distributed by Perum Bulog was a support for the economy of low-income people.

"As a form of state presence in providing economic lever stimulus for the community, rice food assistance programs will be distributed again in 2025," he said.

Based on the assignment of Badanas, Perum Bulog together with the local government began distributing 20 kilograms (kg) of rice packages to each Food Aid Recipient (PBP) which had started as of Monday, July 14, 2025.

Badanas noted that rice food assistance had been given to 1,267 PBP or around 25.3 thousand kg as of last Monday.

The distribution areas are Central Kalimantan which is carried out in Tanarung Village, Palangkaraya City and Buntok City Village in South Barito Regency.

Meanwhile, in Maluku, it began to spread in Lauran Village in Tanimbar Islands Regency, Silale Village and Waihong Ambon City, as well as Ketsoblak Village, Tual City.

Furthermore, people in North Maluku in Salahudin Village, Ternate City have also begun to be distributed.

In Central Java, precisely in Gajahan Village, Karanganyar Regency and 26 Ilir D1 Village, Palembang City, South Sumatra, rice food aid has also begun to be distributed.

Through a letter from the Head of the National Food Agency number 170/TS.03.03/K/7/2025 as of July 4, 2025, Bulog has received an assignment for the implementation of rice food assistance in June and July 2025.

The PBP target is 18,277,083 with 10 kg per recipient per month. With a total allocation of 2 months, June and July.

The distribution is attempted in a one shot or one channel.
