JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI provides new convenience for customers in ordering train tickets. Now, customers can apply for train tickets between cities or long distances 30 minutes before departure.
KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba explained that this policy was taken to provide greater flexibility to customers who have sudden travel needs.
Anne also said that the policy was effective from July 10. He said this policy was also KAI's effort to improve service quality.
"Messages for intercity train tickets can be made up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure, while for urban trains up to 10 minutes before departure," Anne said in an official statement, Friday, July 11.
Anne bilang sebelumnya pengguna dapat membeli tiket kereta jarak jauh maksimal 1 jam sebelum keberangkatan. Kini, KAI membuka pemesanan tiket melalui aplikasi Access by KAI dan situs https://booking.kai.id hingga mendekati waktu keberangkatan.
Furthermore, Anne said this adjustment applies to all orders made digitally through the Access by KAI application and the booking.kai.id website.
"Customers who have not updated their apps can immediately update to a minimum version of 6.12.1 for Android and 6.13.0 for iOS to enjoy this latest feature," he said.
In addition, Anne said to strengthen data accuracy and travel security, all Indonesian citizens (WNI) passengers are required to fill in their personal data using the Population Identification Number (NIK), including for infant passengers.
"While passengers of Foreign Citizens (WNA) are required to fill in the data with the identity number listed in the passport," he said.
