Danantara Will Take Over BMN Management From Sri Mulyani

JAKARTA - State Property (BMN) previously carried out by the Directorate General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance (DJKN Kemenkeu) was transferred to the management of the Anagata Nusantara (Dantara) Investment Management Agency (BPI).

Later, the Ministry of SOEs as supervisors as well as series A shareholders will bridge the process of transferring BMN from the Ministry of Finance's DJKN to Danantara.

The Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir said that the management of BMN under Danantara is part of the government's efforts to optimize assets to increase investment in Indonesia.

The acceleration of the transfer of BMN needs to be done because so far assets have been one of the things that often make investment realizations backwards for 6 months and even up to 4 years.

"Don't let this state property become an obstacle to investment. Because in terms of umbrella it already exists in the Danantara. Now, what we are also talking to is the Minister of Finance, the principle is open, we just need to try to explore these things," he said in a working meeting with Commission VI of the DPR RI, in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.

Referring to the data presented by Erick, the transfer of BMN is a form of submitting State Capital Participation (PMN) for Danantara. Apart from BMN, PMN can also be in the form of other state assets.

The transfer of BMN to Danantara was carried out based on Law (UU) number 1 of 2025 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), precisely in Article 4A.

Not All BMN Diverted To Danantara

Even so, Erick emphasized that not all BMNs will be transferred to the Danantara. He said there are several BMNs whose management status is not under the ministry/institution (K/L).

"From the results of our detection, there are BMN that are not owned by K/L, or K/L do not own this item. Because maybe there are dispute cases, other cases," he said.

Erick said that his party proposed the transfer of BMN management to optimize state revenues.

"Well, in our opinion, dear. Now, we hope that according to the law, now we can do this too, we in BUMN can maximize this BMN which so far has not been maximized," said Erick.
