President Director Of PT Timah: Integrity Pact Increases State Revenue

PANGKALPINANG - President Director of PT TimahTbk Restu Widiyantoro stated that the signing of a cross-sector integrity pact in Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, is a strategic step to increase state revenue from the tin mining sector.

"We appreciate the support of all parties who have helped in the purpose of improving tin governance," said Restu Widiyantoro in a press statement received by LKBN ANTARA Babel in Pangkalpinang, Saturday.

He said the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia through the Belitung District Attorney's Office had initiated the signing of an integrity pact on 'Optimizing State Revenues Through Supervision and Control of Tin Mineral and Mineral Delivery Flows in Port Environments and Other Water Areas in Belitung', in order to prevent illegal mining, mining is not in accordance with tin regulations and smuggling.

The signing of this joint integrity pact was carried out between PT Timah Tbk, the Office of Kesyahbandaran and the Authority. Class IV Tanjung Pandan Port, Belitung Regency Transportation Service, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) Regional II Tanjung Pandan and the Belitung District Attorney which took place at the PT Timah Tbk Representative Office in Jakarta on Thursday (26/6).

"The signing of this Integrity pact is a strategic step to strengthen cross-institutional and sectoral synergy in order to optimize state revenues from the tin mining sector," he said.

He stated that the collaboration between PT Timah Tbk and the Belitung District Attorney's Office, Tanjung Pandan KSOP, the Transportation Service, and PT Pelindo is a tangible form of integrity and joint commitment to create a more orderly, efficient, accountable, transparent, and free from practices that harm the state.

He said, PT Timah as a state-owned company engaged in the strategic sector has a big responsibility, not only in creating value for companies and shareholders, but also in making optimal contributions to countries and regions, as well as maintaining the sustainability of managed natural resources.

"We believe that this synergy will have a positive impact not only in terms of increasing state revenue, but also in encouraging more sustainable, legal and in favor of the interests of the people," said Restu Widiyantoro.
