JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has again shown its commitment to support the government in realizing the program of 3 million houses. Through the business portfolio of Sobat Bangun, SIG and PT Timah Karya Persada Properti (Timah Properti) collaborated in the construction of the Alexandrite Cluster at the Facilia Urban Housing, Bekasi City, West Java.

SIG's Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni, said the collaboration between SIG and Timah Properti was a follow-up to the cooperation agreement between the two parties in February. In the construction of Cluster Alexandrite, GIS is trusted to provide construction services and supply environmentally friendly building materials for the construction of 53 60- and VAR-type housing units (varying according to consumer needs).

In this project, GIS provides construction services such as the determination and participation of contractor partners Sobat Bangun in project implementing contractor tenders, as well as monitoring services for project implementation. Meanwhile, building materials supplied in the form of PCC type multifunction cement (Portland Composite Cement) and ready-to-use concrete (readymix). As of May 2025, GIS has supplied 2,257 bags of cement and 315m3 ready-to-use concrete.

Cement PCC from GIS is an environmentally friendly cement with carbon emission levels resulting from the production process of 494kg CO2/tone cement, lower than the average conventional cement of 800kg CO2/tone cement. PCC GIS cement product carbon emissions were also recorded to be lower by up to 38 percent compared to conventional cement carbon emissions.

The construction of the Alexandre Cluster has started in February 2025 with progress reaching 30 percent and is targeted to be completed by the end of 2025. The estimated total building materials that will be supplied by GIS until the end of the project are 6,318 cement bags and 1,136 m3 ready-to-use concrete. SIG is proud to be collaborating with Timah Properti in this project and contributing to supporting the program of 3 million houses," said Vita Mahreyni, in a written statement, Wednesday, June 18.

Vita Mahreyni added, GIS continues to optimize its business portfolio to support sustainable performance growth through the use of digital technology. Sobat Bangun is a digital platform that integrates various services for renovation and development needs, ranging from design needs (architek), interior, construction personnel (contractors), home furniture filling, financial support, to solar panel installations.

"SIG always presents quality products and services to provide the best experience for customers. Especially for Sobat Bangun service users, SIG is ready to provide end-to-end services, ranging from project assistance, a safe and transparent development process, quality material supply, and trusted partners," said Vita Mahreyni.

The President Director of Timah Properti, Abdul Kamatoes, said that the cooperation between Timah Properti and GIS in the field of construction services and the provision of building materials provides joint value for both parties, especially for Timah Properti, because this collaboration has a positive impact on improving the quality of homework and infrastructure in Cluster Alexandre.

"Cooperation with GIS also ensures that the availability and smooth supply of building materials, especially cement and ready-to-use concrete, which are the main components of construction work at Cluster Alexandre, Familia Urban, are well maintained," said Abdul Kamarues.
