JAKARTA - Traffic engineering in the opposite direction or contraflow on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Puncak was stopped over the police discretion.

Senior Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Alvin Anditautahtap Singarimbun said that previously Contraflow was enforced since 08.00 WIB due to an increase in the volume of tourist traffic and the gathering that occurred on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Puncak on the Long Holiday of the Ascension of Jesus Christ.

"On the discretion of the Police, contraflow starts from KM 44 + 400 to KM 46 + 400 to the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Puncak was stopped at 10.55 WIB. The traffic gradually returned to normal," said Alvin Anditautah Singarimbun as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 30.

In anticipation of density, currently Gadog/Puncak exit access is closed due to the enactment of one-way traffic in the Puncak arterial towards Jakarta by the Police.

Road users who want to go to the top area via the Jagorawi Toll Road are advised to anticipate their route and travel time to avoid congestion due to vehicle queues.

Road users are also advised to be able to ensure the adequacy of electronic card balances before starting the trip to avoid overcrowding when transacting at toll gates. Always obey traffic signs and follow directions from officers in the field.

For information, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. recorded as many as 165,941 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on the D-1 long holiday period of the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ or on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (to Merak), Ciawi GT (to Puncak), and Cikampek Utama GT (to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (to Bandung).

The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area rose 23.2 percent compared to normal traffic.
