The Director of Human Resources and General Affairs of Pelindo, Ihsanuddin Usman, positively welcomed the inauguration of the House of Handicraft Indonesia in Tokyo as a bridge for the fostered UMK to penetrate the export market.

UMK's involvement in the Indonesian in Tokyo House of Handicraft is part of the implementation of the Pelindo Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, an Export Gedor that focuses on empowering SMEs to be able to export.

Meanwhile, the Department of Social and Environmental Responsibility Head, Febrianto Zenny hopes that through the Export Gedor Program, more Indonesian UMK can join forces and use the Indonesian in Tokyo House of Handicraft as a gateway to the international market.

"This initiative will be an important foothold in strengthening the position of the Indonesian handicraft industry in the eyes of the world," he said.
