JAKARTA - The Media Berkat Nusantara Foundation (MBN) has opened its voice regarding the alleged misappropriation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) fund of almost Rp. 1 billion.

The foundation's attorney, Timoty Ezra Simanjuntak, said that the accusations made by Ira Mesra as MBG's kitchen partner who clashed with his client were not true.

The foundation has indeed received payments from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) but cannot mention the amount of funds that have been received on the grounds of protecting personal data.

"That payments from the agency (BGN) are already in the account, and have not changed. Payments have been received, have been suspended, no fraud has been made by the Media Berkat Nusantara Foundation," he said at a press conference in Kalibata, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Friday, April 25.

Ezra said that the reason the foundation had not paid the kitchen partners was because there were differences of opinion regarding the calculation and the lack of data provided. However, the funds that have been paid by BGN are still intact.

"Secondly, that the Media Berkat Nusantara Foundation together with the team in managing the kitchen requires concrete data, transparent and accountable supporting data, that's the second," he said.

"The question is, concrete data to make claims, ladies and gentlemen, there must also be a claim to the office. After being an accommodation, transportation must have a claim. So, has the data been submitted? Well, that's what is rolling. That doesn't mean you don't want to pay or not. Because this is back in principle, one rupiah of state money must be maintained. So we should not raise the perception of play pay, play pay," continued Ezra.

Previously, Ira Mesra as MBG's kitchen partner in Kalibata, Pancoran, South Jakarta reported the MBN Foundation to the South Jakarta Metro Police. The report was made on suspicion of embezzlement of funds amounting to Rp 975,375,000.

Ira's attorney, Dana Harly explained, her client has been working with the foundation and the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) since February 2025 and has cooked 65,025 portions which are divided into two stages.

However, until now his client has not received any payments from the foundation. "We can no longer provide capital because it is two stages, 60,000 servings. We are not paid a penny. Not to mention the operational costs of the MBG kitchen borne by Ira," he said, Tuesday, April 15.

He revealed, based on the information received, the foundation had actually received a payment from the National Nutrition Agency of Rp. 386,500,000.

As a partner, Ira has also tried to collect payments from the MBN Foundation. However, the foundation is said to argue that Ira's obligations have not been completed.
