JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) will evaluate the upper limit tariff (TBA) for aircraft tickets.
Later, the Ministry of Transportation will ask for input from all relevant stakeholders.
The regulations related to TBA are contained in the Decree of the Minister of Transportation (Kepmenhub) No. PM 20 of 2019.
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said the decision to increase or not TBA for this plane ticket depends on the decision of the results of the evaluation later.
"We evaluate, it can go up, can we not. The name evaluation does not always have to go up, right," he said when met at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 23.
Furthermore, Dudy said that his party would also hear input from all stakeholders related to plane tickets.
"We will see all inputs or inputs from all stakeholders related to tariffs. I can't determine unilaterally," he said.
According to Dudy, this domestic plane ticket polemic cannot be seen solely in the amount of tariffs, but it must be seen thoroughly.
"We have to look at all aspects, so that we can formulate policies appropriately," he explained.
Previously, it was reported that the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) would evaluate the upper limit tariff (TBA) and scheduled aircraft ticket fares (TBB), following the proposal of the Indonesian National Aviation Company Association for the government to release the issue mechanism.
