JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk supports Asta Cita President regarding increasing education in the country through the construction of a number of schools and campuses. One of them is the building of the Faculty of Health and Library of the University of Indonesia (UI) in Depok, West Java.

In 2023, the Company will also complete the construction of the Unin Integrated Lecture Building Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung in West Java. The project worth IDR 152.54 billion is equipped with various facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, and student activity centers.

These activities include distributing aid to schools in the area around the capital city of Nusantara (IKN). Waskita together with six other Construction SOEs provided educational facilities and infrastructure assistance worth more than Rp. 400 million to the four schools there.

The assistance provided by the company is in the form of air conditioning, laptops, projectors, sound systems, tables, and school seats. Symbolically, Waskita gave the equipment to SMAN 3 Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan.

"It is hoped that the assistance provided can support the fulfillment of educational facilities and infrastructure standards. This is as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 24 of 2007," said Ermy.

He said the beneficiaries of this activity included SMP Negeri 27 Penajam Paser Utara, SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Penajam Paser Utara, SMA Negeri 2 Penajam Paser Utara, and SD Negeri 023 Sepaku. All of these schools are in the IKN construction operation area carried out by the Construction BUMN.
