JAKARTA - Chief Executive of the Supervision of Financing Institutions, Ventural Capital Companies, Micro Financial Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions (PVML) of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Agusman said that Pegadaian had carried out three Bulion business activities until March 2025.
OJK through letter number S-325 / PL.02 / 2024 dated December 23, 2024, gave permission to Pegadaian to carry out these business activities.
"As of March 2025, PT Pegadaian has carried out three bulion business activities, namely gold deposits which reached 788 kilograms of gold, corporate gold deposits reaching 2.27 tons of gold, and gold working capital loans reaching 150 kilograms of gold," Agusman said in Jakarta, Friday.
Apart from Pegadaian, another financial service institution that has also obtained a permit for Bulion business activities is PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) on February 12, 2025.
He stated that until now there have been no other financial service institutions besides the two SOEs that have applied for a permit to organize Bulion business activities.
"The opportunity remains open for other financial service institutions to apply for a license for Bulion business activities in accordance with applicable requirements and conditions," said Agusman.
