Crowded Outlets Hunted, Mobile Ticket Seller Agents For Floating Ferry Ships At Ciwandan Port

JAKARTA - A ticket seller's agent for crossing by sea is increasingly mushrooming around the road to Ciwandan and Merak ports, Cilegon City, Banten.

According to observations on Saturday morning, March 29, outlets for service providers for online ticket purchases for crossings are always being hunted by travelers, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled.

The sellers appear to offer ticket purchase services right next to the highway while holding a parking lightstick to stop passing travelers.

Nita, a ticket seller, in Cilegon, said that she had opened an online ship ticket purchase service from Ciwandan and Merak ports to Sumatra since Tuesday, (25/3).

"From Tuesday I started selling it, I've been selling boat tickets for almost five years like this from before hosting ticket selling agents like now," he said.

According to him, the purchase of tickets at this year's homecoming has decreased compared to the previous year which could reach 100 tickets sold a day, but this year it is only able to sell 10 to 30 tickets per day.

"This year's homecoming is quiet, only 30 tickets have been sold today, is it because the travelers are quiet or the ticket sellers are mushrooming," he said.

He admitted that the agent he manages provides various ticket classes, ranging from Regular and Express at a price that has a difference of Rp. 15,000 to Rp. 20,000 from the official price.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Riski, a travelers from Tangerang, admitted that he had not had time to buy tickets independently, so he had to buy them in the available agents.

"Forgot not having time to buy it independently, that's why I bought it in the available agencies. This also makes it very easy for us as passengers," he said.

However, said Riski, the price provided is different from the one in the Ferizy Application, which can reach up to Rp. 100,000 for regular classes of motorcycle vehicles.

"The price is indeed more expensive, yes, in the application, it is usually Rp. 60,000 for one motorbike, this was bought for Rp. 100,000," he said.

According to him, it is natural if there is a slight price difference. Because buyers don't have to be complicated to take care of their own needs even though it's easy. But already tired on the way so it's simpler to buy through agents.
