JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) found that there were nine companies reducing the content of rice doses.

The Director General of Consumer Protection and Trade Order (PKTN) of the Ministry of Trade, Moga Simatupang, said the findings came from the results of field supervision this year alone.
"Only this year, (we have acted and sanctioned) there are 9 companies," Moga said when met at the Ministry of Trade office, Jakarta, Friday, March 21.
Moga detailed the nine companies that had been reprimanded and the sanctions were in various areas including Kendal Regency, Central Java, South Jakarta, and Kediri, East Java.
Then, continued Moga, there is also a New Base in Central Bangka Regency, Pangkalpinang City, Lumajang Regency and Mojokerto, East Java, and Sumbawa Regency.
"Since the Law (UU) on Job Creation, the Ministry of Trade has prioritized administrative sanctions. Do not let it (make the business climate bad), because it is still in the category of low-category business licensing," he said.
Based on data from the Ministry of Trade, since 2023, dozens of rice products have been found whose doses do not comply with the provisions, in which the Ministry of Trade supervises 29 packaged rice products.
