MBG Program Reaches 2 Million Recipients, Prabowo: I'm Not Satisfied

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto admits that he is proud of the achievements of his flagship program, Free Nutrition Food (MBG) which has reached 2 million beneficiaries within 3 months.

Despite reaching 38 provinces, Prabowo admitted that he was not satisfied with this achievement.

"This is actually not satisfactory for me. But I understand that the Head of the National Nutrition Agency has worked with all ranks," he said in his remarks before the Plenary Cabinet Session regarding preparations ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H at the State Palace.

Prabowo said, thanks to the hard work of the ranks of the National Nutrition Agency, this program is considered to be carried out quickly because it has reached 2 million beneficiaries from 38 provinces.

Prabowo revealed that he often received complaints from parents of students whose children had not been touched by the MBG program.

"The problem is, if I come to a village or place, it's his parents who ask. 'Sir, we haven't received MBG'. So this is something that disturbs my heart. They heard it in the next school village already," continued Prabowo.

For this reason, the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party asked people who have not been reached by the MBG program to be patient. He also asked Kela BGN to accelerate this program.

Furthermore, with the success of this program, Prabowo said that he received a lot of praise from other heads of state during his state visit.

"They even want to learn from us. Even though we are just starting. They think we are one of the most serious and the biggest efforts we have to deal with this," said Prabowo.
