Cilegon Gas Station Officer Admits Customers Are Crowded Leaving Pertalite To Pertamax Turbo Impact On Oplosan Fuel Issues

CILEGON - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia paid a working visit (Kunker) to Cilegon City, Banten Province.

During this visit, Bahlil checked the quality of fuel to Pertamina gas stations 34-424-09 Tanjung Gerem, Gerogol District.

This working visit was accompanied by the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri and Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati.

When conducting an inspection, Bahlil also conducted a question and answer session with gas station officers who served customers regarding customer behavior after the issue of fuel management was handled by the Attorney General's Office.

Gas station officer, Lisa, admitted that there was a shift in the use of fuel from Pertalite to Pertamax Turbo.

"Sales are lacking, sir. More (transfer) to (Pertamax) Turbo now. Run to Turbo all from Pertalite to Pertamax Turbo," Lisa said in front of Bahlil and Simon, Thursday, March 13.

Lisa also said that customers often asked her about the truth of the alleged mixing of fuel by the boss of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in the corruption case of oil governance.

"Because there are many issues that are mixed as consumers, they ask," he continued.

On the same occasion, Bahlil asked Lisa and gas station officers to provide education and explanations to the public that the issue of oplosan was only the perception of the community.

"Now you answer, there is no oplosan. That's just the perception. Hopefully the people will be socialized," continued Bahlil.

On the same occasion, Bahlil also tested the quality of Pertamina's fuel by cooperating with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' Lemigas on a number of Pertamina products such as Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo and Pertalite.

"We check and everything is with technology, with the average lab everything is within the rules above 725. Meanwhile, the Director General's regulations are 715 to 770," he said.

For this reason, Bahlil appealed to people who will go home and also Pertamina fuel users to no longer doubt the quality of fuel produced by this state-owned oil and gas company.

"There is no need to doubt the quality of the fuel prepared by Pertamina. Both RON 90 and RON 92 and RON 98," said Bahlil.
