JAKARTA PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BRI expressed full support for the implementation of Government Regulation (PP) Number 8 of 2025, which requires exporters of the natural resource sector (SDA) to place 100% of Export Result Foreign Exchange (DHE) in domestic banking for a minimum of 12 months.

BRI's Director of Wholesale and Institutional Business, Agus Noorsanto, emphasized that as a state-owned company, BRI is ready to accommodate this policy by providing various banking services that support exporters in optimally storing and managing DHE funds.

"This regulation has a positive impact on the national financial system and opens opportunities for the banking sector to contribute more to economic development. With the right banking instruments, exporters can maintain the continuity of their business as well as contribute to the national economy," he explained.

BRI is also optimistic that this policy can increase domestic liquidity, strengthen economic resilience, and reduce dependence on foreign capital. With the obligation to place DHE in national banks, funds that were previously placed abroad can be used to support investment and development in the domestic real sector.

In addition, increasing foreign exchange savings in national banking will also have a positive impact on the stability of the rupiah exchange rate, which will ultimately strengthen Indonesia's economic competitiveness in the global market.

Meanwhile, as a concrete form of support for this policy, BRI offers various banking products and services that make it easier for exporters to manage DHE, among others as follows:
