Citilink Flights Move To Terminal 1B And 2F Soetta Starting March 15, 2025

JAKARTA - All flights served by PT Citilink Indonesia will be moved from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1B and Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) starting March 15, 2025.

Director of Commerce Garuda Indonesia, Ade R Susandi Terminal 1B will serve Citilink domestic flights, and Terminal 2F serves international flights.

Furthermore, Ade said that Terminal 1B and 2F Soetta will serve 63 Citilink flights to 33 destinations.

"So that you don't get it wrong, so that it can be in accordance with the flight plan. This will be carried out this month, immediately March 15," he said when met at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Thursday, March 6.

Meanwhile, InJourney Airport Operations Director, Wendo Asrul Rose revealed the reason for the transfer of Citilink flights to Terminal 1B and 2F. He said the decision was taken because Terminal 3 was already too crowded with passengers, with a capacity of 18.5 million passengers per year.

"We are accelerating to move it there before Eid, then at Terminal 3 it will drop to 11 million, of which 7.5 million Citilink moved to 1B so that there was a rebalancing process," said Wendo.

Wendo said that with this flight transfer, it is hoped that there will be no more accumulation of passengers at Terminal 3 Soetta, especially in the morning.

"So if we see later after moving, there will be no more buildup (time) that morning, it will be very crowded at Terminal 3, God willing, it will no longer exist," said Wendo.

Currently, continued Wendo, InJourney Airport is revitalizing and beautifying Terminal 1C. Targeted for 2026, all terminals at Soetta Airport will be able to operate optimally.

"We will make improvements until 2026, 2027. Because we know that Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 airports have been operating for approximately 42 years, now this must be revitalized," said Wendo.
