Minister Of Manpower Proposes THR For Ojol In The Form Of Cash

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli proposed that the granting of holiday allowances (THR) for online motorcycle taxis be given in the form of cash.

"We ask that later it is in the form of cash," Yassierli said at a press conference at the Ministry of Manpower Building,

He added that the certainty of the THR-related rules for ojol drivers has entered the finalization stage because it is a new initiative so that it takes time and is one of the meaningful decisions for ojol and applicator companies.

For this reason Yassierli emphasized that his party prioritizes discussion and dialogue with related parties so that decisions can be reached.

"I have met myself several times and we want to make sure before we announce it later, we hope it won't take long," he continued.

Yassierli said several applicator companies stated that they were ready to provide THR but it had not been confirmed in the form of cash or in the form of goods.

"Some of the response entrepreneurs are ready. The process. Some of the response entrepreneurs are ready. Several times we have discussed, trying to understand each other for the formula because it takes time to see the complexity," he said. The provision of religious THR for service workers based on this application was previously one of the discussions between the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower and the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation on Friday, January 24.

At that time, RI Yassierli said that the protection for workers on application-based services was part of the Astacita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.

According to him, ojol drivers are workers who are entitled to decent wages and welfare, as regulated in Law (UU) Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower.
